Genesis GV90 arrives as a coach-door luxury SUV
Hyundai's Genesis brand revealed the GV90, a large electric SUV with coach doors — rear-hinged back doors requiring no B-pillar — and a cabin designed explicitly as a moving lounge. It positions the brand directly against the Mercedes EQS SUV and BMW iX at the premium end of the market.
- Coach doors eliminate the B-pillar, allowing side entry without the traditional bend-and-pivot into a rear seat
- Genesis has not announced US pricing or availability; the interior targets the chauffeured rather than the driver
- The GV90 is built on Hyundai's E-GMP platform, shared with the IONIQ 5, 6, and Kia EV6
