Tesla Megapack 3 Rolls Out of Brookshire Texas Gigafactory
Tesla has commenced commercial production of the Megapack 3 at its Brookshire, Texas plant — the first large-scale US-made grid-storage product. At roughly 5 MWh per unit, a 28% jump over its predecessor, the new hardware targets a 40 GWh annual ramp.
- Each Megapack 3 delivers ~5 MWh; four bundle into a 20 MWh turnkey Megablock with integrated switchgear
- LFP chemistry, improved round-trip efficiency, and integrated AC/DC architecture cut balance-of-plant cost
- Texas plant targets 40 GWh/year at full ramp — one of the largest grid-storage factories outside China
