Global EV sales clear 2 million in June as US slips
June marked the first calendar month in which the world sold more than 2 million electric vehicles, pushing year-to-date totals to 9.6 million. The US accounted for a shrinking slice: GM's EV sales fell 60% year-over-year in Q2, Ford's off by more than half — consequences, in large part, of the federal tax credit's expiration last September.
