The Clock Audit

Three briefs, one throughline: biological aging clocks stopped being a curiosity and started getting interrogated — reviewed by the field's most-cited names, tracked longitudinally instead of once, and tested against real interventions from semaglutide to yogurt-and-exercise. Meanwhile the immune system had an unusually good week, with the thymus rehabilitated from vestigial organ to mortality predictor and a stem-cell mechanism explaining how inflammation goes chronic with age. The bottom line: aging is increasingly treated as something you can measure with precision and occasionally nudge — the measuring got much better this week; the nudging remains early, scattered, and mostly in mice.
